If you are searching our databases unsuccessfully using a photographer's full surname, try just the first three letters of their surname. For example searching for Edwin Mowll in Norfolk (see above). In one directory he is recorded as Mowell, so a search on 'MOW' will reveal both records whereas a search on 'MOWLL' will only show one.
When searching for a surname such as 'Le Sueur' be sure to omit the space and enter 'LeSueur'.
